CERTIFICATION
Our coatings and paint meet the strictest environmental and quality requirements. In addition to all the tests that are carried out in our state-of-the-art laboratory, we have our products tested by external experts for durability, processability, quality and impact on the environment. A number of our products are provided with a COT Quality Mark. In addition, we offer NORSOK certified paint systems for extreme corrosion protection in corrosion classes C5 and CX.
Our biobased paint brands are allowed to carry the EU Ecolabel. These products also have the A+ label for minimal emissions into the living environment.

COT QUALITY STANDARDS
Center for Research and Technical Advice (COT) is an independent research and consultancy organization for construction and industry. A COT quality description refers to the performance that can be expected from paint products and systems in terms of durability and processing such as drying times, paintability and viscosity. But there are also requirements for physical and chemical properties such as elasticity, adhesion, coverage and hardness. The quality descriptions therefore do not only concern product properties.
NORSOK CERTIFIED PAINT SYSTEMS
NORSOK is a standard for safeguarding preserved objects in the petroleum industry on safety, added value and cost effectiveness. It specifies different test methods and acceptable values for various offshore applications and environments.
BARIL PLANTBASED PRODUCT
A 14C analysis method is performed to determine the biobased content of a product. The determined percentage of renewable raw materials (% biobased) can be determined on the basis of the result (content of 14C = content of biobased carbon).
EU ECOLABEL
The EU Ecolabel is the European eco-label. The aim of the label is to stimulate sustainable production and consumption. Products and services with the EU Ecolabel are produced with a lower environmental impact of raw materials, energy, water, harmful substances, waste and packaging. The wall paints, multiprimers and lacquers of our biobased paint brands carry the EU Ecolabel.
EUROFINS EMISSION LABEL
A number of guidelines apply within Europe to determine the degree of VOC (Volatile Organic Compounds) emissions into the living environment. With the help of various tests, not only the proportion of VOC in a product is determined, but also what the emission and nature of the relevant substances in the living environment is during use. The wall paints, multiprimers and lacquers of our biobased paint brands have an A+ label for emissions. in the living environment.
