Busterminal Schiphol-Noord
Schiphol Airport is enriched with a modern bus station in a historic hangar. This ‘T2’ hangar was built in England in 1942. The steel structure served as a temporary, movable terminal during the Second World War.
The station is a real eye-catcher because of the special roof. The bus station has both indoor and outdoor LED lighting and has solar panels on the roof.
The authentic steel construction was perfect for reuse as a bus terminal. The construction is provided with a SteelKote coating. This coating protects steel for an extreme long time. Intervals of 25 years for major maintenance are therefore possible. This keeps the maintenance costs of the construction to a minimum.
